METHOD OF BUILD

Master 4L Installation

Erection sequence

1)
Mark out position of partition layout on floor using a chalk line between set points.

Mark corridor runs first, then work back to walls.

If fixed to underside of suspended ceiling or structural ceiling, mark out on ceiling then plumb down to floor and mark out on floor.

2)
Fix "Floor base channel" to floor, "Wall channel" to walls and "Head track" to structural ceiling, (floor to ceiling), with 6mm hammer fixings, (HF) at approximately 500mm centres. If fixing to steel work use self drill, self tap screws, (SDST) at approximately 500mm centres.
For freestanding installations, "Heavy duty head track" is used in place of "Head track"

"Floor base channel" can be site mitred or notched at corners and intersections.

Leave 1000mm gap for single doorways or 2000mm gap for double doorways. No connecting splices are used.

"Head track" corners can be site mitred or notched at corners and intersections.
"Heavy duty" head track corners are factory made and connect to straight lengths with a splice.

3)
Lift panels into position into "Floor base channel". (If fixed at head, lift panels into head track then over "Steel floor channel" then down). Position panels and doorframes as required.

Each panel is levelled using steel shims.

Panels and doorframes are connected together using "H-cleats" at approximately 300mm pitch. Pack joints if required, (all fire-rated and acoustic partitions), with mineral wool, then fit "Cover channels" to all joints using cover channel clips.

4)
90º corners are achieved using "Blank end posts", "H cleats" and "Junction cleats". 135º panels are fitted as per standard panel modules. Three-way junctions are achieved using "Junction cleats", "H cleats" and "Cover channels".

5)
At "Wall channels" where a full panel is being used, construct a "Full post" using a "Blank end post", "H cleats" and "Cover channels". Insert assembly into wall channel.

6)
At "Wall channels" where a "Filler panel" is being used, measure the gap, mark the "Inner filler" and carefully cut. Fit "Inner filler" to wall and insert "Outer filler" into "Inner filler. Connect "Outer filler" to wall end of panel run.

7)
Fit "Skirting" to each side by screwing to panel and "Floor base channel". Cut "Skirting" to length and join by butting together.

8)
Fit door leaves to doorframes and fit all furniture.

9)
Measure and fit glass of required type into prepared openings.

10)
Touch up any damaged paintwork and clean glass and partitions.

11)
Clean site.

12)
Fill in any necessary documentation including obtaining customer approval.
