Fire Resistant Doorsets
A range of high performance doorsets providing fire resistance from
30 minutes to 4 hours to BS476: Parts 8 / 22.
Doors
The 45mm thick door leaves are manufactured from 1.2mm zinc coated
mild steel with interlocking seams to vertical stiles, incorporating
horizontal and vertical stiffeners. Inverted top and bottom channels
provide a flush faced, double skin construction with Honicel bonded
or insulated core.
They are morticed and reinforced for ironmongery and hardware. A
choice of vision panels is available with a tested fire resistance
of up to 2 hours.
Frames
The frames are manufactured from 1.6mm zinc coated mild steel, formed
as double or single rebated profiles and supplied factory assembled
with all fixings. They are morticed and reinforced for hardware.
The frames are normally bolted together but can be welded to suit
requirements.
Fire resistant doorsets are supplied with 1½ pairs of stainless
steel hinges per door leaf and zinc coated mild steel cills. Finishes
are electrostatically applied polyester coatings from a standard
range of BS and RAL colours.

security are required and can be made to the specific requirements
of individual clients. Differing levels of security can be achieved
dependent on door and ironmongery configurations.

Personnel doorsets are designed for both internal and external applications
and can achieve noise reduction criteria with the addition of upgraded
door infills and seals. Doorsets can also be manufactured to clients
specific requirements.
The flush design and construction is particularly suitable to controlled
environment applications, with minimal joints and seams to reduce
the possibility of contamination and bacteria build up.
