Norwood have an extensive experience delivering projects for the pharmaceutical industry, meeting the requirements of a highly regulated sector.
Over the years, we have provided a host of bespoke and regulatory compliant products for various facilities in the life sciences sector – from research and development laboratories and cleanrooms to the most complex manufacturing plants. Our clients especially value the quality of our products, speed of delivery and the flexibility of the Norwood cleanroom system which is easily demontable and provides clients with the opportunity to remodel their spaces.
Our growing client portfolio includes AstraZeneca, GSK, Bio-Products Laboratory Limited, Fujifilm Diosynth and Perrigo. Norwood have also been awarded a contract to provide a bespoke cleanroom system for the new Vaccine Manufacturing Innovation Centre (VMIC) in Oxford.
We encourage our clients to work with us from the earliest design stages. By managing the process together, environmental factors, security, fire protection, and utilities can be incorporated into every partition solution. Thereby optimising space, functionality, budget, and aesthetic appeal, whilst minimising cost and delays upon installation.
We work with customers from the earliest possible stage, developing tailored designs to their specific needs.
Our products undergo extensive laboratory tests, to achieve the best air permeability, acoustic and fire ratings, VHP resistance and the partition finish efficiency against various microorganisms
All products are fabricated at our factory in Stockport, shortening installation timescales, reducing health and safety risks and improving quality.
The project comprised the manufacture, supply and installation of a new 8000m2 footprint of a highly specified Packing Facility. The brief was to provide nine GMP Grade D packing cells, each of which required strict temperature, humidity and pressure control to enable primary packing of pharmaceuticals in a clean environment with no risk of contamination. Each of these Primary Packing cells connects to a common, secondary packing area. To meet the project specification and environmental requirements, Norwood proposed our 100mm Mediline Partition. Following a rigorous selection process, our solution was a preferred option over four alternative systems. Working closely with the client’s team and the main contractor, we designed and developed bespoke solutions such as Flush Coving, Fire Rated Vision Panels, Bulkheads and Half Height partitioning. Cleanability has been ensured through the hygienic finish of the partition panels and, in particular, by incorporating recessed radiused coving at ceiling to wall joints providing a smooth clean finish throughout the room.
Working with architects, main contractors and end-users, we deliver bespoke and performance-driven cleanroom systems, tailored to the specific needs of each client.
